Meet our Founder

HI!  I'm Tina.  My wonderful husband, Mark, and I have four fantastic adult children, three of which have married and added five (soon to be six!)  beautiful grandchilden to our family.   We are blessed in so many ways and I am so very grateful for the life we are living.

We have enjoyed traveling both in the United States and internationally.  One of our favorite things to do when we visit somewhere is to take a food tour and learn about the foods and flavors that are tied to that location.  We also enjoy mingling with the locals and listening to their stories, learning about traditions and their way of life.  I am looking so forward to sharing these stories with you.

Frequently asked questions

How will the subscription work?

On the first of each month, your credit card on file will be charged for that month's box and shipping.   By the 15th of that month, your box will be shipped and on its way to you. 

What comes in it?

When you first open your box,  you will see a ribbon attached to a notecard on the inside.  When you pull the ribbon, that month's destination will be revealed to you!  Then you can continue to lift the tissue paper to see the items that will help you experience the place right from your table.

How does shipping work?

Your box is packed by hand assuring all the curated items are packed carefully.   We will send you an email letting you know when you box has been shipped.  

How will I know what the location will be each month?

Here is part of the magic...you won't know until you receive your box.   I want you to be able to read about and enjoy the stories, recipes and aromas as you discover the place.  

How can I send this as a gift?

If you would like to offer our box as a gift to someone, we offer two options:
 
1.  You can sign them up to receieve the monthly box and enter your credit card information.  They will continue to receive a box each month and your credit card will be charged on the first of the month.
.  
2.  You can purchase a gift certificate for one, three, six or tweleve months.  The recipient can then redeem the gift certificate when they sign up with their own account.

Where are you located?

We are located in the suburbs of Chicago.  Being located in the midwest helps everyones boxes to arrive fairly quickly!
